Addison reached a big milestone over Thnksgiving and lost her first tooth. It has been loose for a while but when she bit inot an apple a few weeks ago it became very loose and I knew it wouldn't make it until Christmas. Friday night she helped it along by falling out of a chair and I guess the impact finished it off. The toothfairly came and gave her $1 in her tooth pillow tha tshe put under her bed. Here is her recount of the entire event.
Since Thanksgiving we have been busy getting in the Christmas spirit. The house is all decorated and there are Yankee Candles burning. Addison is my official helper for the wrapping of the gifts. I still have to remind her though that she can't tell anyone what they are getting. This past weekend my parents ans Sister came for a long weekend and we went to see the lights at Callaway. This has been a family tradition for Steve and I for a long time. It was FREEZING! We all bundled up well and got on the trolley for the awesome light display that they have. Carsyn almost made it through the whole thing. She did wake up as we were leaving and enjoyed some funnel cake with Olivia and me.
As far as updates on the girls in general. Carsyn had a rough November as far as illness- she even got diagnosed with the flu although it wasn't confirmed. She is on an antibiotic now her third since this started and just finished a steroid so hopefully whatever she had will clear up. Although she has been ill it hasn't stopped her from taking full advantage of her mobility. She is up the stirs in a blink of an eye and actually had a tumble down them while my parents were here and can climb into and stand in a chair in 3 seconds flat. We have no need for a workout at the gym around here. Addison went for her 5 year old well check and got a perfect report. She is 47 pounds and 45 in- 90% for wt. and 97% for ht. She is bigger than most 5 year olds but because she is proportioned he said no need to worry. He also said she is very bright- just to brag on her a little. She make us laugh with all of the things she tells us she learns . Like the other day she said The read a book that was "findiction" That means it is in your imagination. When I asked her the other day why we should brush our teeth she said"So we don't get cabbages" Everyday it seems like there is something she says that makes us laugh.
Hopefully Santa will bring me a laptop and these post won't be so far and few between . If not then I'll just have to better at making our blog a priority. Merry Christmas!
