Breaking News

Addison has a loose tooth!!! When she went to the dentist earlier this month we found out she already had a 6 year old molar through. The dentist told us she will soon have some loose teeth so to believe Addison if she came to us and told us . Tonight sh was laying in my lap and opened her mouth and I noticed a second 6 year molar. I started pulling one of her front teeth and wouldn't you know the right one is loose. It still has a ways to go but I didn't think the dentist meant the tooth fairy would be coming this soon. I can't imagine her missing a front tooth.

Fallen Off the Wagon

Carsyn has fallen off the wagon and is back in the bottle- the Hershey Syrup bottle that is. This is why we can't leave the fridge open when we are unloading groceries. Ok so it is Wal-mart brand- I know you are laughing Mom!

It's a Zoo Around Here

We went to my parents last weekend and it is the first time we have gone without anything planned. We went to the zoo and besides it being a little hot it was nice. Carsyn loved it and Addison is STILL terrified of the gorilla. Towards the end Addison was in much need of a nap so we started to head out when Grammy accidentally let go of her balloon. She and Gramps quickly made a run for their car and left us with the aftermath. It didn't last long - by the time we were out of the parking lot she was asleep. It really is going to be a zoo around my house for the next month. We will travel every weekend in September except for one. I am looking forward to our travel but I know come October I will be ready to stay put. Enjoy the pics and the clip of Gramps teaching Carsyn to snap then clap.

Pre-K and Gymnastics

Addison has had a lot going on these past two weeks. She started gymnastics last Tuesday and loves it. I love it becasue it is 5 minutes from our house and I ahve time to come home and get things done before hand. With dance last year we had to drive back into Douglasville and it was late when we got home so this works out so much better. Here are some pics of her learing her new skills. She got a new pink and silver leotard this week that she is very excited about so I'll take more pictures and put them up later.

She also started PRe-K at her day care. It is the Georgia public funded prgram we were just lucky enough that our day care offered it. Steve and I got a raise because we are only having to pay for after school care now. I can't tell you how pumped we are! So far Addison has enoyed Pre-K but keeps asking when she is going to have homework. I love that she is so eager to learn. I hope this continues. Look how cute she is on her first day with her Tinker Bell bookbag!

Beach Party

Last Saturday we celebrated Carsyn's first birthday with a beach/water themed birthday party. We set up a slip-n-slide, a baby pool, water table and a huge blow up pool. It turned out to be a great party and I think all the kids had a blast. Carsyn go a lot of really neat gifts and Steve and I were grateful for everyone that came to help us celebrate this milestone. I made a sand castle cake that I found in a magazine a year ago and I ordered a beach ball cake for her smash cake. When I picked it up it was a lot bigger than I was told it would be. I ended up serving it and part of the sand castle cake to the guests and gave Carsyn the top layer of the castle. I put a slide show together so you can all see what a wonderful time everyone had!
